Domaine Santa Catalina Agrippine

Domaine Santa Catalina is a new generation of holiday residence as, although the five villas are set within the same extensive parklands, each has a completely separate garden, terrace and pool. Set within gardens of heather, umbrella pines, olive trees and oleander, dotted with granite boulders so typical of the southeast corner of Corsica and with the foothills of the Alta Rocca as a backdrop, these villas - which have recently been refurbished to an extremely high standard - make the perfect place to unwind whilst being only a short drive from the sights and facilities of Porto Vecchio.
Within the Domaine are five properties: two renovated bergeries, Horus and Gaia, one newly-built house in the style of a bergerie, Agrippine, and two newly-built villas, Brahma and Euphrosyne. Villas Horus and Gaia have been lovingly restored from 100-year-old bergeries once the domicile of shepherds in this area. Their stone walls are up to sixty centimetres thick which will ensure the interiors are kept cool, although there is air-conditioning in the lounge and bedroom if needed. Horus and Gaia are the perfect size for a couple or family with small children. Separated from each other and the other villas in the Domaine by pink or whitewashed walls, both gardens and tiled terraces are shaded in part by trees, but each has a small plunge pool for cooling off in if you prefer to spend your days on the teak loungers in the sun. The interiors are simply furnished in Mediterranean style with one twin bedroom which can be made up as a double if required.
Agrippine, built in the same traditional style of the stone bergeries, is furnished with a warm Mediterranean feel with wood panelling and brightly coloured fabrics. It lies within the grounds through an imposing gate, close to Villas Brahma and Euphrosyne: Brahma is a larger property than The Bergeries having a double and a twin bedroom and benefits from a large garden and plunge pool, and again is enclosed to maximise your privacy. Villa Euphrosyne is the biggest of the five properties and has vast proportions for a villa sleeping a maximum of seven people, plus it has the added bonus of a large pool house with table football and a dart board to keep the family entertained as well as a second full kitchen, shower room and lounge area. The pool (the only one of the five to be of swimming pool dimensions) is set between the villa and the pool house and is neighboured by two pergolas for al fresco dining.

All five villas are equipped with everything needed for a relaxing holiday from satellite TV in all bedrooms and lounges to air-conditioning and well-equipped kitchens with dishwashers and washing machines.

The closest beach, only a ten-minute drive away, is San Ciprianu, a beautiful bay edged with crystalline waters and overlooked by a Genoese watchtower so characteristic of the Corsican coastline. For an array of shops and restaurants you won't need to trek any further than Porto Vecchio which can be reached in just fifteen minutes by car.
