Lalimea

Travelling as a couple or small family usually means having to be content with sharing a pool since small houses with private pools are rare but at L'Alimea it has its very own private pool.

L'Alimea is a simple country cottage, prettily decorated, comfortably furnished and neatly kept. It has one spacious double bedroom and appeals to families with small children as there is also a sofa bed in the sitting/dining room which can be shared by two young children. The small kitchen and the shower room are reached through here. Children can roam safely in the enclosed garden, which has both sunny spots and shade by a grove of trees.

Found along a country lane, L'Alimea is under one kilometre from the centre of Macinaggio, a small waterfront town near the tip of Cap Corse. There is a range of small shops and restaurants which are at their busiest in summer when yachts flock in from Italy. Just to the north of Macinaggio is a coastal nature reserve which offers some tremendous walking and lovely unspoilt beaches, including Tamarone Beach 15 minutes' drive away.
