Sisco, and the beautiful Sisco Valley, is one of the best places in Corsica to get away from it all, whilst remaining close to the sea, since this exclusive area north of Bastia is the preserve of locals rather than holidaymakers.

The Marine de Sisco, under two kilometres away, has a shingle beach and the sandy beach at Pietracorbara is 4.5 kilometres further. In the other direction is enchanting Erbalunga, the 'artists' village', with a superb choice of restaurants. Cap Corse is wonderful for walkers, and for riders there are two stables close by. Every morning the baker passes with fresh bread, there is a small supermarket in the Marine de Sisco, whilst fresh milk, home-cured hams and sausages can be bought from nearby farms.
