I Laricci

This little country house is tailor-made for couples, or small families with up to two children, as it has its own pool. Set in the beautiful Sisco valley, I Laricci's views sweep down the valley to the sea, or to the bell tower just across, on the church square. This is one of the best places in Corsica to get away from it all, whilst remaining close to the sea, since this exclusive area north of Bastia is the preserve of locals rather than holidaymakers.

The entrance to I Laricci is shared with another house, but once you cross the threshold, privacy is complete, and you can sunbathe by the pretty pool, relax under a shady tree in the lovely sea-facing front garden, or dine under the delectable shade of the leafy trellis on the side terrace without a thought about anyone else.

Inside, the comfortable sitting/dining room has French windows opening on to a terrace and thence to the garden. There is a separate kitchen, a cosy double bedroom, a single bedroom which can be shared by two small children and a shower room with WC. It is only a beautiful ten kilometre drive from Barrigioni to Sisco beach, where there are three or four restaurants. There is also a small shop, although Erbalunga, six kilometres down the coast is better served for shopping - and there are some fine restaurants here too.
