The Drossia Villa is a small, but perfectly formed property that sits in the traditional hamlet of Vigla, just 10 minutes from the pretty pebble bay of Kalami. Set 250m above sea level in a mountainous area that's delightfully secluded, it's particularly wonderful for keen walkers. Just choose your direction and head off into the magical scenery. It's a handy base if you want to jump in the car and explore too.

Take your pick from captivating Kassiopi, the fishing village of Kouloura and the seaside resort of Agios Stefanos with its tranquil little taverns. The villa itself is newly restored, yet it's been built in a traditional style to blend in with its rural surroundings. Sleeping four people, it has one double room and one twin room, both with en-suites, so is perfect for a small family or couples. It's open plan design incorporating a kitchen, lounge and dining area, lets all the light flood in and you'll find all mod cons included too, such as dishwasher, washing machine, DVD player and CD stereo. From here, doors lead out onto the terrace where you find lots of space for al fresco dining and your own private pool, flanked by sun beds and parasols. And last, but by no means least, from here you have the most beautiful vistas stretching all the way over to Albania.
