Villa Isavros is blessed with a highly desirable location, clinging to the west-facing slopes of Paxos' highest elevation with breathtaking views. The wonderfully spacious and tastefully designed accommodation includes a double and a twin bedroom and two bathrooms on the ground floor.
On the first floor are two twin bedrooms with attractive sloping ceilings and an additional shower room. One of the upper floor bedrooms opens onto a small balcony, while spanning the front of the house is a wonderfully spacious, partially shaded veranda with beguiling views. A stone-built barbecue has been provided so you can dine by your own pool and enjoy the gorgeous sunsets for which the island's west coast is famous.
The sloping grounds around Villa Isavros have been landscaped with stone-walled terraces and clever use was made of the natural terrain to create a spectacularly situated swimming pool. This area offers many rewarding walks, including the short hike up to Paxos' highest summit, which is topped by the small church that lends Villa Isavros its name.
If wandering through the olive trees along ancient mule paths is not your scene, how about exploring Paxos' three 'busy' ports? Gaios, the capital of the island is only a short drive away and boasts a beautiful row of Venetian houses along its harbourfront and more than its fair share of expensive yachts rubbing shoulders with tiny Paxiot fishing boats. Lakka is at the far end of the island, that is to say 15 minutes' drive away! The sea here is an amazing turquoise and the horseshoe shaped harbour makes a perfect sheltered spot for lunch or dinner.
The smallest port is Loggos but this is the port that is famous on the island for its high quality tavernas and where the bakery still produces warm village bread from a wood burning oven. Whether you decide to dine at home, in the hills or by the sea we are sure you will soon get a taste for Paxiot living and come back again and again to this beautiful island.
