Making the most of these natural attributes, the double-bedded Damouchari Suites are a haven of peace and elegance. The large, open plan suites are simple and spacious, with beamed ceilings echoing the dark wood floors and contrasting against the double bed which is elegantly canopied and dressed in white. But the major feature of each room is the stunning view of the nearby sea from the terrace or balcony, which makes a glorious spot for a light lunch.
Damouchari was a fabulous discovery for us. The tiny hamlet makes an appealing sight on approach, nestling as it does above a beautiful, peaceful cove. The setting is blissfully romantic, offering beautiful vistas, the Aegean Sea on your doorstep, and the combination of peaceful seclusion with welcoming locals. Just a few metres away, pellucid waters lap a white-pebbled shore, framed by rocky and pine-clad hills. A little further into the hamlet of Damouchari itself, there's a pretty cove, home to a small fishing harbour and the handful of local tavernas open in high season, with their unrivalled atmosphere.
