For some, action-packed activities make a holiday and there's a superb pick here. We're talking archery, volleyball and a gym. Plus water based sports like scuba diving and water polo. And with a marina on your doorstep, you can give paragliding, sailing and water skiing a go.

With all this at your fingertips - staying put 24/7 is all too tempting. But with Puerto Del Carmen's sandy beach just a free shuttle ride away, it's worth making a break for some downtime on the sands, too.
