From energetic games and talent shows to swimming lessons and soccer schools, your little ones will be occupied from morning 'til night. Plus, there's a Kidzone club, a creche and a Miracle playground. Factor in child height buffets and pre-bookable Mothercare equipment and Heinz baby food packs and holidays here are a doddle. And while the kids are busy doing their thing, the grown ups have got plenty of choice too. There's a multi-purpose pitch for tennis, basketball and football. There's a fully-equipped gym on site. And for a bit of pampering, there's a wellness centre.

Of course, there's plenty to enjoy with the kids, too. And there's nowhere more fun than the huge swimming pool. Snaking its way through the complex like a river, it's sunk into a spacious terrace sprinkled with sun beds, parasols and palm trees. You'll find plenty of shady lawn areas dotted about, too. Step inside the Protur Bonaire and it's just as impressive. Everywhere you look is fresh and modern, from the roomy bar lounge to the contemporary restaurant. The apartments follow suit, too. Decked out in light sand and sky colours they all come with kitchenettes, satellite TV and a balcony with childproof lock on the patio doors.

Also a big bonus for families is the location. Sitting at the north east end of Cala Bona, the Protur Bonaire's in a peaceful spot. But it's not off the beaten track. Just a couple of minutes walk and you're on the beach. And if you want to give the ten-minute legwork into Cala Millor a miss, jump on the mini-train. Factor in great service and evening entertainment and you've got it made. If only all family hotels were as good as this…

Best Holiday Ever!!! - Arrived at this hotel and was greeted by the Manager who is the most helpful friendliest person as too are all the staff that work at this hotel. Thomson reps fantastic and my kids 3yrs and 6rs had a great time. My hat goes off... more on this review
