Transylvania tour added to new Thomson 2008 brochure

Thomson Lakes & Mountains have launched their preview edition of next summer's brochure featuring resorts in eleven European countries and holidays to scenic lakes, tranquil mountains, historic cities and beautiful coastlines, as well as tours, fly drives, river cruises, twin centre holidays and romantic weddings.

New for 2008 is the 'Transylvania Discovery Tour' , an eight day coach tour of Romania guided by a local qualified culture guide. The trip includes sightseeing in Bucharest, visits of the main towns including Pitesti, Medias and Sinaia as well as UNESCO protected monasteries in the Carpathian mountains. It also stops off in Sighisoara, the birthplace of Count Dracula, at Vlad Dracul's house. The price per person is from £549 including scheduled flights from Heathrow, seven nights half board accommodation, eight days travel on a modern executive coach and services of an English speaking guide for the duration of the journey.

Thomson continues to offer free walking guide services in eight resorts and walking tours in Austria and Switzerland, free places for groups, free child places at selected accommodation on every departure date and family value child prices from just £89. To make the holiday choice easier, Thomson flights depart from 17 UK regional airports and connecting flights to Heathrow or Gatwick from other regional airports.
