Commercial

Commercial is about maximising the saleability of all resorts and delivering planned contribution targets by selling the right product, to the right customer, at the right time, for the right price, through the correct distribution channels. In addition to planning growth where there is strong evidence to suggest it will generate incremental profit

 

New Media

New Media is all about managing the TUI UK websites to maximise sales and contribution. The department is responsible for many websites but principally Thomson.co.uk, Portland-direct.co.uk, Thomsonflights.com and ThomsonFly.co.uk. Our objective is to sell as many package holidays and flights as possible whilst developing the Company's capabilities in the new but rapidly growing sectors of accommodation only sales and dynamic packaging.

 

IT

IT are responsible for providing cost effective solutions to satisfy the business functionality throughout the TUI UK Group. They are responsible for IT strategy, approving major IT spend, co-ordination of group wide projects and ensuring a common set of technologies are used throughout the group.

 

Human Resources

HR is about providing support to the operating businesses and head office on critical people programmes and issues in their area as well as being responsible for day-to-day HR issues from grievances, and discipliniaries and, advising managers on employment law matters.

 

Marketing

Marketing are responsible for designing, develop and implement marketing campaigns based on TUI UK’s planning and yield requirements, plus the development and integration of new business opportunities into TUI UK.

 

Finance

The Finance Division is an integral element of the Company with responsibility for meeting the accounting, reporting, management information and financial processing needs of TUI UK. Finance is organised into teams which support the tour operating, distribution, head office and airline functions of the business, and their key priority is to ensure that all areas are provided with timely and accurate information to enable the right decisions to be made on a daily basis.

 

Airline

Thomsonfly is made up of four key areas: Cabin Services, Operations, Engineering and The Flight Safety Team, which together ensure our customers receive the highest quality of service on every flight. Cabin Services, together with our In-flight Retail and Catering Team, have become one of the leading retailers within the world of aviation. Operations are the heart of the airline managing our flights 24/7 and working with our professional team of pilots, training teams, and the Airport Services Team, all based at our UK airports. Engineering maintain our fleet of Boeing Aircraft to the highest standard. And finally, the Flight Safety Team support the airline behind the scenes, ensuring the safety of our passengers and maintaining our excellent flight record.
